Description:
This boring machine was used to bore out pine logs to make water pipes. L. S. Hobbie & Co. of Rochester and A. Wyckoff & Sons Co. of Elmira were two New York State firms that used this machine to make water pipes. The Northwestern Bas and Water Pipe Co. and the Michigan Pipe Co., both of Bay City, MI, also manufactured Wyckoff pipes.
