Description:
This patent provides improvements to the tempering process using the tempering machine of patents 1,221,576 and 1,265,944. This patent produces blades of varying temper, where the tooth tips are of maximum hardness which gradually transitions through decreasing hardness (but increasing resilience) through the rest of the tooth.
