Description:
Nova Scotia (NS) patents were issued between 1834 and 1867, when they joined with Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick to form the Dominion of Canada.

The inventor as a medical doctor who trained at Guy's Hospital in London, where he also studied chemistry and geology. He died in Halifax in 1864.
