Description:
A fairly simple, but useful patent. This one features a round bar with a wheel cutter held to the end of the bar with a recessed screw. This allows this gage to work all the way into a corner or rabbet.

These gages were produced commercially with limited success, but the patented ideas here were used on gages well into the 20th century.

Patented pieces are marked with the patent date on the head, and feature a full brass face plate that allows the marking wheel to be completely retracted into the face.
