Description: |
| Pressure is applied by a lever pushing against a pawl resting on a notched bar. The position of the movable jaw adjusts by rocking the lever fully backward, which lifts the pawl free. The base is designed to clamp to a bench or work table.
The specifications call this an improvement on Frank W. Moser's Sept. 10, 1912 patent no. 1,037,966 and the patent does not claim any features covered by that prior patent.
