Providing a traction-engine with one or more pairs of auxiliary supporting-wheels, made vertically I adjustable, so that the weight of the machine may be thrown upon or taken from the 'said wheels, substantially as described. The construction of the clutches in two parts, and the connection of the same by the one screwing into the other, and by set-screw.
