Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Davis & Thompson Co.
|
Description: |
This invention allows the boring machine to bore a hole of non-circular cross-section. For example, a tubular workpiece with a longitudinal welded joint may have a bore with a flattened portion at the joint to provide extra wall thickness there. This boring machine can also vary the boring diameter along the length of the bore. |
