Description:
The ratchet is of the "single dog" reversible type. Figs. 6, 7 and 8 show different styles of "reversing rings" matching styles used in other BLACKHAWK ratchets. The internal ratchet mechanism also appears in an "in-line" ratchet in patent no. 2,286,917.

The handle end was divided off into a separate patent application and received patent no. 2,282,148.
