Description:

Intent of this patent is to manufacture a cheap and durable auger. Cutting body is formed from a thin sheet metal pod with the two edges forming the throat and cutting surface and the tip formed into a screw or gimlet. Cast metal head is attached to the cutting body. Known example is marked with the patent date only on the cast metal head.
