| The patent covers the handles with rectangular recesses for the insertion of tool heads, the pivot pin on one handle portion long enough to pass through the other handle section, and having a threaded end for a securing nut, and tool ends to be inserted in the rectangular recesses.
The specifications note these tool ends could be shaped as pliers, shears, pipe tongs, wire cutters, etc.
Used in conjunction with patent no. 791,917 for the Koeth combination tool. The first patent date on the tool is miss-marked July 2, 1900. |
