Description: |
The "U" shaped jaws have springs with the ends bent into the opening, to grip the sides of axle nuts.
Wrenches matching this construction were produced by the T.G. Mandt Vehicle Company of Stoughton, Wisconsin. The wrenches are marked in part "Pat June 13, 1896" One can speculate that an oral and "handshake" transfer of the patent could lead to "June 30" being misunderstood as "June 13." |
