Description: |
Improvement to ratchets of the type based on patent no. 2,660,911. A co-application not noted in these specifications received patent no. 2,709,386.
The direction of ratchet action is determined by swinging the handle from one side to the other. When the handle is "straight on" the head is fixed. The exterior shell of the head is attached to the handle by a snap ring.
The exterior appearance of the New Britain NB 50 ratchet matches the drawing in this patent.
Patent nos. 1,261,092, 1,670,547, 2,092,345, 2,503,373, 2,656,865, 2,660,911 and French patent FR-710,903 are cited as references. |
