This tool design had already been improved by the time it was issued; see patent 1,910,839.
Claim:
A tool of the character set forth, comprising in combination, a frame having a horizontally disposed arm, a tool slide mounted for up and down movement at the forward end of said arm, a lever operatively engaging said slide and disposed approximately at right angles to the path of movement thereof, said lever having a fulcrum adjacent the end engaging said slide, a, toggle linkage having one end connected to the remaining end of said lever and the other end adjustably supported in said frame, a substantially vertical lever fulcrumed on said frame and having a link connection with the intermediate pivot of said toggle linkage to actuate said first mentioned lever, and an adjustable stop positioned to be engaged by said first mentioned lever to limit the downward movement of said tool slide. |
