Description:
Here is another combination surface gage and machinist's scratch gage, much like the Walker patent (359336), but with a different kind of adjusting mechanism. This piece is still micro-adjustable, but here the adjuster is continuously variable. This seems like an excellent enhancement, and would have worked quite well.
