Vintage Machinery entry for C. H. Besly & Co.
Description:
The invention is a machine for grinding an accurate chamfer or point on a thread tap. This machine was presumably used by the assignee to manufacture taps; so far as we know they did not manufacture the machine for sale. The assignee, Threadwell Tap & Die Co., became part of Besley-Welles Corp. (formerly C. H. Besly Co.) in 1965.
