Claim:
In an internal combustion engine construe- tion, a cylinder and piston operating there- in, the cylinder having a solid wall extension beyond the point reached by the head of the piston, said extension enclosing a space constituting a hot air chamber, and the cylinder having an intake at the remote end of said hot air chamber, the piston having a plunger at the head movable into and out of said hot air chamber upon the reciprocation 5of the piston, said plunger being diametrically smaller than the bore of the cylinder and the hot" air cha mbei, the pltunger being formed integral wvith the piston but separated therefrom by a deep peripheral groove in the plane of the piston head. |
