Description:
In March 1859, the District of New Jersey court heard "Charles Goodyear and the New England Car Spring Co. v. Hiram P. Dunbar and Henry W. Joslin", where the plaintiff sought an injunction to prevent Dunbar and Joslin from using Joslin's patent because it allegedly infringed on Goodyear's famous patent. The court held that while Joslin's patent may or may not be valid, he has a prima facie right to use it, and declined to issue the injunction.
