Description: |
The grip and cutting action are transverse to the length of the handles rather than in line with them. This increases the mechanical advantage. The handle ends are shaped as a claw and screwdriver, and the jaw tips are shaped to pull staples.
The tool as produced varies in several particulars. One handle has a screwdriver; the other has a smooth end. The jaw tip does not include the staple-pulling taper. Known example marked with location and trademark, but no maker name. The manufacturer name is taken from a mid-1920s manufacturers' directory. |
