Description:
The wrench is assembled from sockets, heads, swivels, and shanks attached by pins. A couple of the joints are different sized hex or square fittings. Some of the assembly joints are reinforced by "ears" as well. The "ears" also form tapers to avoid shoulders and sharp corners that could get caught in tight places.

Some of these features reappear in York's June 24, 1924 patents (nos. 1,498,712 and 1,498,713).

SNAP-ON(tm) catalogs from the late 1920s & early 1930s show universal jointed sockets with the note, "LIC. YORK PAT. 12-7-20" A 1927 TRUTH TOOL CO. (Mankato, MN) catalog includes YORK socket sets matching the 1924 patents.
