Description:
The hook jaw can swing back far enough to allow the "grip" on the fixed jaw to be sharpened. The adjusting screw can be removed and replaced.

Hall secured four additional patents for improvements and refinements -- 521,312 (6/12/1894), 523,810 (7/31/1894), 533,295 (1/29/1895), and 586,738 (7/20/1897).

The 5.5 inch Hall "Bicycle" wrench with the adjusting screw terminating in a knob at the end of the handle is pictured with this patent. Other pictures of Hall wrenches are attached to the entry for pat. no. 533,295.

Hall also patented a soft-jaw "clamp" for ornamental and polished pipe to complement this wrench (Pat. No. 527,200).
