Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Atlas Press Co.
|
Description: |
In 1913 co-inventor Penniman's wife inherited half-ownership of G. T. Eames Co. makers of a patent arbor press. Penniman took over the commercial side of the company but ran into cash-flow problems and also butted heads with G. T. Eames. Eames sold out to Penniman who renamed the business to Atlas Press Co., and Penniman eventually turned things back around and Atlas Press Co. became very successful under Penniman's leadership. |
