Description: |
This improvement to wrenches of the type described in patent nos. 414,663 and 429,088 forms the swinging frame of sheet or pressed steel, rather than malleable iron or cast steel. The bearing insert for the return spring would be brazed into the remainder. The patent date appears on the frame of an 8-inch TRIMO AUTO thin-profile pipe wrench. The opening for the adjusting ring shows allowance for the TRIMO nut guards described in patent no. 1,012,036.
Larger sizes of pipe wrenches based on this patent may include subsequent modifications noted in patent no. 1,258,628. |
