Description: |
The distinguishing feature of this chain pipe wrench is the "V" shape of the toothed jaw area, which rocks on the end of the handle. Larger examples are marked GEALY, GROVE CITY, PA and the patent date. The 8 inch example shown in the pictures is marked THE GEALY on both sides. Another known example is marked WALWORTH MFG. BOSTONG with the patent date. Walworth advertised the BOSTONG in the 1920s.
Corresponding Canadian patent no. CA-101,815 was issued Oct. 20, 1906.
The jaws received patent no. 1,078,426 in November, 1913. |
