Description:
A lobed wheel with an off-center pivot point (or a set screw) acts as the adjustment mechanism for a spring-loaded swinging toothed jaw of an alligator wrench.

The HURLEY adjustable alligator wrench (based on pat. no. 1,123,880 used a similar off-center pivoted wheel adjustment.
