Vintage Machinery entry for L. F. Grammes & Sons
Description:
Improvements to the nail puller of C. W. Spencer, patent 480,974. An example was seen with this patent date plus the earlier patent date, and "MFG BY L.F.GRAMMES & SONS ALLENTOWN, PA." We have not seen an example marked with the name of assignee Samuel Nafew, but the 1899 "Seeger & Guernsey Cyclopædia of the Manufactures and Products of the United States" lists "Samuel Nafew, 392 Broadway, New York", as a provider of "Nail pullers and box openers".
