Description:
This is not a patent for a marking gage per se, but rather for a head locking mechanism which could be used on a marking gage. It is a fairly typical micro-adjuster design, shown as being suitable for a scratch gage, surface gage, or vernier caliper. It looks like it would work pretty well.
