Description:
This invention captures the basic idea that led to the now-ubiquitous Kurt vise with movable jaw that pulls slightly downward as it is tightened, which in turn pulls the workpiece down against the vise bed. The inspiration for the idea reportedly came from the now-forgotten Muggli vise of patent 2,880,638.
