Description:
The base of the movable jaw is split into two hinged portions. They are held together by a "U" shaped band hinged from the upper portion of the movable jaw. When the band is swung up, the two halves can separate sufficiently to allow the jaw free movement. When they are swung together and clamped, the wrench adjusts by a screw in typical "monkey wrench" fashion.
