XC patents are Canadian patents issued between 1824 and 1869.

It consists of a band of iron, or any other metal, about two inches long, drive tight to the end of the snaith, and flattened on one side, through which passes a loop bolt; and of a claw plate of iron or any other metal to receive the claw or shank of the scythe."
