Description:
The die described in this patent would form the "socket" portion of the "Diamond" or "Portland" wrench. Early versions of the wrench were made of malleable iron or cast steel; later production used forgings.

Patent nos. 234,091 and 286,653 are for the wrench. Mr. Libby was general manager of the Diamond Wrench Company.
