This invention relates to wrenches, and more to form the stationary jaw 6. This jaw portion

particularly to the type having a movable jaw 6 of the wrench is reinforced by one or more

adjustable with respect to a fixed jaw to enable inserts 7, maintained between the side walls 2

nuts, bolts, pipes and other elements upon which and 3 by the rivets 8. The jaw 6, thus formed,

a wrench is normally used, to be firmly engaged 6 is provided with a face plate 9, which may be

between the jaws and very quickly released or roughened if desired, to afford a non-slipping

disengaged when desired.
