| A resilient material is used between the saw handle and the blade as well as enclosing most of the screw shank that attaches the handle. Purpose is to prevent the loosening and/or cracking of the handle due to the movement of the wood handle as well as to isolate the handle from vibration and shock (in the non-electrical sense). |
