Description:
The tool is envisioned as a temporary handle to hold the strain of a ratcheting latching mechanism on a particular type of coal car, while the latch is released. Depressing the side handle swings the ratchet pawl aside, releasing the ratchet wheel. This mechanism would also function as a ratchet wrench.
