Description:
"Push through" drive plug for "one-way" ratchet wrench that has to be turned over to reverse the direction. It has paired "spring / ball detent" and spring loaded pins to retain the plug in the head and connect detachable extensions or sockets.

Alloy Artifacts shows a Blackhawk ratchet matching this drawing, and notes this patent in the section on evolution of Blackhawk's "Lock-On" tools. The sequence noted there is: 1,685,503, this patent, 1,896,645, RE19,287, 1,927,844, 1,982,008 and 2,190,081.
