Description:
Inventor Rumsey was from the United States of America but had been residing in England for four years when this patent was issued. He was a notable early inventor of boat propulsion and of steam engines. He died unexpectedly He died unexpectedly of a stroke in December 1792, age 49, just a few months after this patent was issued.
