Description:
This is very early patent for sectional feed-rollers. It uses rubber disks with a metallic covering to provide a springy axial movement of the sections. The inventor was majority owner of the carriage-making firm of S. N. Brown & Co. So far as we know, his sectional feed-roll was never manufactured. It is possible that it was licensed to a woodworking machinery maker.
