Description:
Produced as the UNIVERSAL CLAUDE-SINTZ MFR. DETROIT, this patent was the last of three for the UNIVERSAL screw adjust nut wrench with side lever to tighten the grip. The lever moves both the adjusting worm and movable jaw. The jaw movement is sufficient to allow for "ratchet" action on hex nuts sized within the wrench's capacity. This patent also includes the replaceable bearing plate between the lever and adjusting worm.

The patent date shown on the wrench is 4-24-1924. The June 3, 1919 patent referenced is no. 1,305,628.
