...the object of the invention is to provide a simple means for securely retaining thin steel cutter knives in the cylinder and also to provide means whereby the knives may be automatically and uniformly adjusted one with the other and it consists essentially of dove-tail grooves extending longitudinally through the cutting cylinders and dove-tail blocks fitting within such dove-tail grooves so as to wedge the planer knife between the inclined wall of the block and the adjacent wall of the dove-tail groove..."
