Vintage Machinery entry for Bridgeport Iron Works
Description:
According to an 1869 advertisement from Bridgeport Iron Works, they were "Manufacturers and Agents for Van De Water's Improved Turbine Water Wheel, Best Water Wheel in use." This patent gives the inventor's surname as "Van De Water" but a subsequent patent, 33,220, gives it as "Van DeWater", as does the aforementioned ad.
